The Viennese Waltz
This
is sometimes referred to as an old time waltz. Like the Modern Waltz
it's in 3:4 time but it's a lot faster, around 59 beats per minute -
the Modern Waltz being only 29. However, there aren't many steps to
learn, only lots and lots of spinning. It's very easy to get dizzy when
doing a V.Waltz and again a long dress could cause problems. The
V.Waltz is great fun, looks impressive and so long as you don't get
dizzy easily it isn't too difficult. The V.Waltz is the fifth tune on
our ballroom sampler.
