The Modern Waltz
This is perhaps the easiest dance to learn and with a little effort can look beautiful and elegant, especially in a wedding gown. It uses quite slow music - around 29 beats per minute in 3:4 time, i.e. 1 2 3 - 1 2 3 - 1 2 3 etc There are a good range of tunes from classic big band through to modern. For example, Nora Jones 'Come Away With Me' is a great waltz! The waltz is a good and some would say traditional choice for your wedding dance and most couples can master a decent routine in a couple of months. The Waltz is the second tune on our ballroom sampler.
